The Market-Driven Church: The Worldly Influence of Modern Culture on the Church in America by Udo W. Middelmann

Quite illuminating book. The European perspective is quite valuable, although sometimes overstated. A good plea for a return to intelligent study and a less American market-based approach. Well worth the read.
