Miguelanxo Prado

Dos procedimentales con trasfondo social muy bien narrados. Además de que Prado es un maestro en la narración y en dotar de expresividad a los personajes, me encanta la química que introduce entre los dos protagonistas y el cierre que les da es brillante.

I'm not quite sure what standard to use in rating graphic novels or a collection of short graphic stories as this is. Originally, I gave it 4 stars but upon reconsideration changed that to 5. These are very adult, very mature stories of modern love, mostly among the well to do who would defend their attitudes as sophisticated, mature and objective but what seems to have happened in each case is that they have lost their passion in the chase for "success" allowing themselves to be controlled show more by intellectualism, materialism or the desire to have a planned life. One of these, in some guise, is the third actor in each of the stories. It prevents the characters from having genuine feelings for another person, from having strong passions; they (sometimes) know it and (sometimes) don't care. Emotions like bitterness and resentment seem to also have a part in some of the stories. show less

One of the best graphic novels I've read so far. The drawing is superb, Prado really excelled himself in this and the story well woven, a true answer to Borges and Bioy Casares challenge.

Beautiful artwork and a haunting, surreal story. Charming in a low key way.
