I went into this book blindly, the cover and title were enough to draw me in and thus I hadn't bothered to even read the blurb.

Color me surprised when I found the concept of this book to be book boyfriends - it was instant love! There were so many book references that they kept me n a constant state of grinning.

I thoroughly enjoyed Scarlett and Evie finding there weekly book boyfriend in real life. Both were really likeable charactes and even though I usually don't like the timid, shy girls show more in a book, I loved Scarlett. I was really happy though when Scarlett finally overcame her sheltered past and came out of her shell.

And what would this book be without some boys? Let's see,f irst there's Ash. He adamantly tried to worm his way into my heart but I wouldn't let him. Sorry pretty boys, but your pretty words and good looks didn't work on me as well as they did on Scarlett.

Then there's Dylan, he too, wasn't for me. Too nice, too sweet, too boy-ish. He was just right for Scarlett to dip her toes in the water so to say, even if she was sometimes more tan frustrated with him. I can't say though that I was sad to see him go.

But then there he was, the rock god aka Mason. Now he was totally my thing. Sexy, honest and open with a bad boy image but a very sweet attitude towards Scarlett. He definitely was my number one.

There's one thing though that I had a little trouble with: the events towards the end because everything felt a little hurried and then too easy. I would've wished for these events to be drawn out a bit longer and maybe not making it so easy on Scarlett.

But overall a fantastic book that I couldn't help but love. I can't wait to read the next installment!

So, I devoured this book! The small things I felt the first one lacked, this one MORE than made up for! For the first time in my book reading history, I honestly cannot choose which man she should be with. And if I can't choose, I cannot imagine what Scarlett is going to do.....

One one hand, Ash is her soul mate. We know that, he knows that, she knows that, hell, even Mason knows that. And I understand why he tried to stay away and just be friends. He thought he wasn't good enough. He show more thought he was like his father. He wanted her to experience life. But dang if she isn't dead set on jumping from one proverbial bed to another! I was so pissed at him in Metamorphosis, because this could have all been solved so easily. But then that wouldn't make for a good book ;-) I fell in love with Ash in this book though. And that is saying a lot seeing as he isn't in it nearly as much as the first one.

Mason, oh bad boy rocker who really just wants to be with his angel. While Ash wore his pain on the inside, Mase kept his on the outside, for everyone to see. I am rooting for them, I really am. I was so overjoyed for them to enter this intent on honesty and working through their stuff. And then pissed as all get out for miscommunication to get in the way!! Why does that always happen?! Assumptions lead to bad decisions, which lead to worse decisions, and before you know it, everyone involved is broken and you can't even remember how it all began.

I will say that right up until the end, Erin keeps you guessing. You finally feel like you know where we are headed, and then BOOM. In classic Erin Noelle bomb dropper status, another one hits. Even then you think you know where everything is going, but with a whole other book to go, who knows..... Anxiously awaiting to see how this all turns out. I want them BOTH to be happy and loved, but where does that leave the other one.......

Disturbing, heartbreaking, and fanfreakingtastic all rolled into one!

Bryleigh has to be one of the most incredible characters I have come across yet. At 17, Bryleigh falls for the dark handsome Prince and she let's him make her feel like a total Princess. Until the happily ever after becomes hell on earth and Bryleigh does the only thing she can do to take control of her life and finally awake from this ongoing nightmare.

"...sometimes you reach a point where you just can't take anymore - a show more breaking point..."

Starting over with a new life now as Blake instead of Bryleigh, she finally has the chance to try to forget her horrible past. But it's not that easy for her at all. With anxiety and flashbacks making life a bit more challenging, Blake becomes very shy and timid. And starting a new job allows her to really bury her head in a very big important protect. And then she meets Madden Dekkar!

"...Once you surrender, I will take care of you completely. I want you to be mine, but for now, slow and steady, sweet girl..."

Madden is totally and complete swoon worthy! He is gorgeous, rich, hardworking, and dominant! He is completely won over by the very timid and beautiful Blake. And he feels the need to get to know her better and to shelter and protect her.

"...You - everything about you cries out yo me to claim as my own. I want to take care of you and protect you..."

Can Blake finally put the past to rest and really start over? Can Madden help Blake rebuild her life? Or will the past continue to rear it's ugly head and put everything at risk?

"...He kept me blind, he kept me bound, and in doing so, he set me free..."

I fell in love with Erin Noelle's books with her Book Boyfriend series. It's one of my top 5 favorite series ever! But I was so not expecting the roller coaster ride of emotions that Translucent would take me on. Some of this story is disturbing and so devastatingly heartbreaking. But the strength, courage, and determination Bryleigh/Blake, has keeps you going. You become her personal cheerleader and need to ride this journey out to see what will happen to this beautifully broken girl. And when you think you have it figured out Erin will leave you breathless and wanting! This book is absolutely one of the top 5 books of 2014! Get this book and read it NOW! I give it a Nerd Alert A or 5 stars!

One thing I look for when choosing my next book is authors that are willing to take risks. Authors aren't afraid to look conformity in the face and laugh. Authors who grip me from page one and hold me by the proverbial balls until the last word is read. Erin continues to do this, and each book she releases only raises that bar. One thing she never does is disappoint, and I was left salivating at the thought of her next installment. There was a level of mystery and suspense that hasn't been show more seen in her books that kept me riveted to turn the pages as quickly as possible. She draws you in and keeps you invested in the characters. And she gives us sweet, delicious, alpha Madden. Make this your next purchase! You won't be sorry :-) show less
