Very nice effort to study (in an ethnological manner) the complex system of relationship between different musics all around the world, thanks to the very useful notions of superculture, subculture, interculture.
This is a great review of the cantorate. Granted, it is somewhat dense and technical but it shows the evolution of the cantorate it the US.
=the= collection of articles about the klezmer revival (other than the klezmershack, of course)
