Fantastic book that gives the history of the Hollywood Canteen - from its beginnings to locating and renovating the building, the coordinating of the committees that ran it, what it was like to be there, and the closing and continued work of the funds raised by this institution. The book described being at the Canteen in such detail that you felt like you were there. The book is thoroughly researched and has fantastic photos. Well worth it.
