Dear Ms. Keeland and Ms. Ward,
I have to tell you if anyone ever told me that I would love biking while reading a romance novel, I would tell them they were crazy. Thank you so much for writing a book that is such a pick me up. Now let’s talk about what I loved about these pages. DIRTY LETTERS is the new co-authored friends-to-lovers rockstar romance that I found utterly refreshing You ladies outdid yourselves. The heroine is agoraphobic, that first reared its ugly head after her best show more friend died in a fire at a concert. And there, of course, is also survivor's guilt. When Luca was seven years old, she became pen pals with a boy in England. They became best friends and confidantes over the years, their honesty one of the most remarkable features of their friendship. Until the fire. After that, it is a ghost town Luca disappeared leaving the boy not knowing anything.
Griffin, now a famous rockstar known as Cole Archer, lets her know how he feels about this in a petty letter eighteen years later. I have to say, I was happy to see how fast Griffin forgave Luca. For a few months, these two communicate only by letter and they find back into their easy friendship with the addition of a growing attraction. But Griffin, who has learned the hard way that fame comes at a price, cherishes the fact that Luca doesn't know who he is. Luca with the help of the letters becomes braver and I am here for it.
I have so much love for all the characters in this book. Griffin was a great guy, an amazing friend, and a patient, an understanding boyfriend who was totally smitten with his girl, how he held on when things got rough, never letting her down. The way Luca's debilitating condition was portrayed made her relatable and my heart ached for her because, really, when you can't go out of the house without fearing a panic attack, how do you deal with the idea of dating a popstar? The despair because you're trapped in your head...what do you have to offer except your heart?
Lastly, there is Doc, Luca's therapist, who was simply the sweetest. I just picture a cross of Mr. Rogers and the Doc from back to the future. This book packed such a punch of steamy moments and a mixture of sweet moments and drama. The story is new and refreshing and fun and the only thing that made me sad was when it was over. I hope there is more co-writing in the future.
With Love,

Oh Vi, you have done it again!! You gave me a new book boyfriend in Nico "The Lady Killer" Hunter. Hummuna hummana... he is HOT.
First of all, I am not an MMA fan. Like, at all. However, I would watch the hell out of a Nico fight.
Hang on, I need a second.
Ok, I can go on now.
I think.
Worth The Fight is the love triumph story of Elle and Nico.
"When we met, we were two injured souls. Both keeping the real out of our lives for fear of what we might find. But nothing could have kept us show more apart."
Elle was going through the motions of life. Doing what she was supposed to, dating the “right” man, working endless hours in the right job. Essentially just surviving.
"I never though I'd be happy. I was content with flatlining my way through life. It was good enough."
Who wants that???
Well, never fear sweet Elle, Nico is here! And he is going to wake your ass up with his sweet (but oh, so dirty) talk. And his body...oh yeah, his body.
Nico has been through something awful. Something that changed him as a man and made him feel an overwhelming guilt and sense of he can never be forgiven.
Elle has been through something that changed her as a person as well. It was traumatizing and horrific.
Two broken people feeling unworthy of happiness... it could be a recipe for either hell or redemption.
I am not going to spoil that for you!
Let’s instead discuss that piece of man candy again. Nico is pure, hot, possessive alpha man. And he can possess me any time he wants. He talks crazy dirty, wants every man within 100 miles to be fully aware that Elle is his, and is a God in bed. Oh, and he is sweet and considerate and volunteers with kids. He’s the man you dream about when you are feeling frisky. Love him. Just love him.
So, if my drooling over Nico isn’t enough for you let me assure you that the story is strong and lovely. Vi knows how to write a compelling story with relatable characters. I loved every damn page.

Layla is finally back in the firm, as an associate again, but at least she's on probation and done with her volunteer hours. An opportunity to present to a very important client could put her back in good graces, but nothing prepares her for Gray Westbrook to be there. Her heart has just moved on from him, barely, and seeing him, remembering the way he used to make her feel, throws her right back into the moment. He's after her, he's free now and wants her to be his, but things can show more never be easy, especially between attorney and client.
This book was such a nice surprise, I really enjoyed the unique storyline and how Vi Keeland managed to throw a lot into a book without it becoming too overwhelming. It's more than romance, we get a lot of individual character development and there's a secondary storyline that will tug at your heartstrings. Layla and Gray are obviously a chemistry driven couple, but right away I could tell their history was more than lust. We're treated to some really hot smut, but also moments of just dialogue where it is revealed that the two find one another to be smart, compassionate, and trustworthy.
Gray is such a dynamic character, he goes through the most changes and I appreciated that he was so welcoming of those changes. He takes things in stride, shows more emotion than not, and comes across as truly human. My feelings towards him are opposite of how I usually feel about wealthy businessmen in novels. Lalya is sweet, a romantic despite denying it, and sometimes a little difficult. It was very apparent she was a few years younger than Gray, how she reacted to things could be frustrating, but I like how the trials they go through help her grow.
The Naked Truth is a mix of romance tropes combined and it was highly entertaining. Vi Keeland has created what I would call the perfect book boyfriend, Gray is swoonworthy. He's the driving force of the relationships in the novel, so if you're looking for an alpha man with a soft side, this is it for you.
*Audiobook Review*
I really enjoyed this audiobook on Audible, it was a little over 8 hours and was great for several days of driving to and from work. The chapters are distinguished with "Chapter #" announcements and the unique voices were awesome, I love having a female speak the female perspective chapters and a male speak the male perspective chapters. Andi Arndt's voice was perfect for Layla, but I wasn't so big of a fan of Sebastian York. I know many people swoon for him and the mystery he presents as being an unknown face in the game, but his voice just wasn't Gray's for me.

Full transparency, I have absolutely no idea how I am going to write a review for this book without spoilers. There’s a reason Vi stuck with the opening chapters as the book synopsis. This book keeps you guessing - you think you’ve got it figured out, brushing your shoulders off and preening about your detective skills, but nope. Vi knows you think you know what’s happening, and just when you’re settling in, she pulls the rug out from under you. When she drops that oh-so-wonderful show more bomb, you find yourself gasping out loud, and suddenly, someone nearby is looking at you like you’ve lost your mind! This book took me on the wildest emotional ride, leaving me giddy and happy by the end. I’ve always appreciated Vi’s ability to do just that - to make you laugh, cry, cheer, scream, gasp, and, ultimately, fall head over heels for the characters she creates. She has such a gift for crafting people you can’t help but love deeply and wholeheartedly, leaving you 100% invested in their story.
It was just supposed to be a little fun - a break from the norm and, yes, a touch of payback. Slip in, slip out. Stella still couldn’t believe she let her best friend Fisher talk her into crashing a wedding. But there she was, standing in the New York Public Library, posing as her former deadbeat roommate Evelyn. The plan? Stick together. But one cute waiter sent that idea right out the window. Before she knew it, Stella found herself alone at the bar. She never expected that a simple gin mix-up would lead her to Hudson - the most gorgeous man she had ever laid eyes on. From that moment on, there was flirting, dancing, and laughter, a magical night so surreal it could’ve been plucked straight out of a fairy tale. But unfortunately for this Cinderella, her magic didn’t fade at the stroke of midnight. No, it unraveled when the mention of her false last name caused Hudson to figure out she wasn’t who she claimed to be. Exposed - and thanks to Hudson, a little humiliated - she made a mad dash for the exit, grabbing her best friend in the process but unknowingly leaving her cellphone behind. Fate, of course, wasn’t done with her. Soon, Stella discovered that Hudson had her phone - and wanted her to come and get it. How did one misstep lead to such a glorious tumble? And the worst part? Her next encounter with Hudson had her realizing she wasn’t done falling.
I absolutely loved Stella. She’s the perfect balance - a stunning woman who doesn’t realize her beauty, incredibly smart yet humble and relatable. She’s kind, considerate, strong, independent, and resilient. Stella’s the kind of character you’d think you’d hate out of jealousy, but instead, you can only adore her because she’s just too sweet for words. And then there’s Hudson. Vi is, without question, the queen of swoon-worthy men. Hudson is every woman’s dream and every man’s nightmare. What I loved most, though, was discovering what a cheesy teddy bear he really was. Vi does a fantastic job bringing out the push-and-pull with his character. You love him, you loathe him, you downright despise him - and then, suddenly, you feel for him before falling for him all over again. By the end, you’re fiercely protective of him.
The way this book was written was absolutely brilliant. At first, when the story jumps back to Stella’s past, you’re left scratching your head, wondering why. The moment doesn’t seem significant. Stella has a random hobby - why do we need its origin story? But then, as the story unfolds, you realize how that one simple find becomes the foundation for some of the biggest moments in her life - both good and bad.
Vi kept the spice to just a few scenes, but man, did they light up the pages! The buildup, the flirting, and the innuendos made every single spicy moment worth the wait. I was a little surprised by how she split their first intimate moment - part of it was on-page, and the rest was off. For such a monumental and long-anticipated connection, I expected the entire scene to unfold on-page. But, as always, Vi more than made up for it later.
While the book toys with ideas of fate, destiny, and coincidence, the most tangible takeaway was about taking chances, taking risks, and trusting your instincts - for better or for worse. Sure, some readers might find the serendipitous moments a bit much, making the story feel overly unrealistic or implausible with all the fate, luck, and good fortune falling so perfectly into Stella’s lap. And honestly, I get it - unless this woman is carrying a pocket full of four-leaf clovers, no one’s luck is this extraordinary. But remember, this is fiction. While no one’s fortuity is ever this favorable in real life, try to embrace it for what it is - a trade-off for an incredible story.
With that being said, as much as I want to dive into the emotional turmoil this book caused me, I can’t. Normally, I don’t shy away from placing spoilers in a review, but not this time. Revealing the big twist would ruin the experience, and trust me, you don’t want that. All I can say is, have some tissues nearby and make sure you’re sitting down for the last quarter of the book.
Because Vi Keeland is an absolute genius, she gives us not one but TWO epilogues. Let me tell you, I think I’ve hit my yearly quota of “awws” thanks to those beautiful wrap-ups. I already loved this book to pieces, but those two endings? They were the cherry on top of an already perfect sundae.
This book was a perfect cocktail of emotions, surprises, and swoon-worthy romance, and I loved every second of it. I know it was a re-release so whatever notes she took to heart to improve it this time around, well done. show less
