OK, I am in love... with this series. I know that the light novel(s) on which this manga adaptation was based on has been translated into English, but there is just something about the visual medium that makes it stand out. Lawrence and Holo are very cute together and even though there is a lot of plot based on economics, it doesn't detract from the actual story and the characters. It was shrink wrapped in the store due to Holo's initial appearance completely naked, but then she is a wolf show more and wolves don't tend to wear clothes. show less

I have enjoyed the manga series thus far. The story is a bit sparser than in the light novels, but still good. The economic intrigue that is one of the more unique qualities of the light novel series suffers a bit, but the art really lends some vibrancy to the experience that makes up for some of that.
Unfortunately, the third volume in the manga series really feels the lack of both the detailed interesting economic reasoning and a much blander feel to it than the very strong emotional impact show more in the relevant part of the light novel story. As such I found it slightly disappointing as an adaptation of the light novel, though still quite enjoyable in its own right as a manga. show less
