I love getting to read new devotionals on occasion, and when I saw this book last November, I knew I wanted to check it out. Not only is revival something I’m interested in from a historical context, but this is also something I long to see in my own life and times, and I also want a deeper prayer life, so this book seemed like the perfect fit for me right now.

I’m so glad I decided to check this out. It was all I hoped for and more. With Scripture passages, heartfelt commentary on the show more Scriptures, carefully selected quotes that perfectly encapsulate the theme, and a short, yet impactful prayer, this is a treasure to have on any nightstand or bookshelf.

My favorite parts of this book were the quote sections. I have never highlighted so many quotes in one book; they were all so impactful and challenging! I shared more quotes from this book than I have from just about any other, ever!

If you’re looking for ways to grow your prayer life and desire to see revival, I’d highly recommend you check this book out. I found it to be encouraging, uplifting, and ultimately confronting (in the very best way). Highly recommended!
