Out Came the Sun: Overcoming the Legacy of Mental Illness, Addiction, and Suicide in My Family by Mariel Hemingway
A very forthcoming, personal memoir from a cringe-y Woody Allen to discovering her own sexuality, navigating an acting career in fits and starts, marriage, body self image, and children. Mariel narrates the audiobook herself, which is a real treat, and also recounts a lifelong interest, even obsession, in alternative health approaches as part of generally placing her own well-being in a high priority. Family dysfunction and the effect of carrying such a famous name are also explored here.
Part yoga, part memoir, part interesting, part boring. I see she has a more recent memoir and I would like to read that some time, but I'm in no hurry.
