Great book on prayer that is built on patristic and early Christian tradition. Bunge did a great job giving an introduction to prayer and categorizing practices of prayer into the various chapters that make it an easy and enjoyable read. I highly recommend.

I did not find the commentary helpful and ignored after the first few chapters. The text itself did not speak to me. I did try to find an English translation online, but that did not help. Not the right book for me.

It’s best not to study condemned heretics.
