author is a botanical artist. For those who want to portray plants with regard to botanical detail - amateur and professional - chapter on past with illustrations from past and ref to Blunt's book and Hunt exhibitions. Then basic equipment, concepts, techniques (pencil, ink, scraper board, watercolour, gouache, acrylics, photography, preparation for printer. More for actual illustator than for looking at botanical type pictures but some nice illustrations and worth getting if fairly cheap
