Not a huge believer in the Kennedy conspiracies, but this is one of the best in the genre. Really well-stated case, exhaustively researched, gripping stuff
I read this book in the mid-90s in two stints. When I read about the double autopsies, a shocked conviction stole through my viscera that Lifton had the truth. It was so devastating that I couldn't go on reading- I had to put it aside for a year.
This is the book that got me interested in the assassination after a twelve +/- year hiatus. With the opening of the National Archives and the publication of Vincent Bugliosi's book I am now likely on permanent hiatus from this subject.
Not bad at first, but as he found more and more evidence his theory became steadily less plausible or realistic.
