The Age of Context asserts that five forces – mobile, social, data, sensors and location – are moving us beyond “message mongering” and the Age of Conversation that followed. Many of us are already using – and benefitting from – applications and interactions that are mobile and increasingly location-aware. Non-traditional sensors are on the horizon and in some cases already in use. The avalanche of data, and new means of assimilating and processing it, enable interactions to be show more tailored and personalized in ways that have never before been possible. The authors – two technophiles with significant experience and expertise – believe the attendant issues of privacy and trust can be managed. Overall this is a fairly quick read, loaded with examples and suggestions, raising well-reasoned concerns, but bristling with optimism for the future. Recommended for anyone who wants to stay in step. show less
Good overview of blogging in corporate environment. Easy to read. Not too detailed, but has good case studies/examples. Nothing on government blogs, though.
½
Good broad overview of the impact of blogging on customer/company relationships - but not much depth of analysis
