I had mixed feelings about this book after reading it. I liked this book because it gave many different examples and aspects about pigs. For example, the author talked about the use of pigs for food and how humans eat different varieties of pork. The author also talked all about baby pigs and how they are called piglets. The books said, “A sow gives birth to litters. There may be 10 or more piglets in 1 litter. Piglets weigh about 3 pounds.” The book contained a lot of valuable show more information about pigs and covered many important aspects. Although I did like many things about this book, I disliked some as well.
One aspect that I disliked from this book was the dullness of the pages. Looking through each page, there was one picture and then text. It was not exciting to look at. The pages were white and the only color came from the pictures. The whole book was very bland. I wish it were more colorful especially if this book is supposed to cater to young children.
The big idea of this book is to provide information in all aspects about pigs.

Tornadoes begin when warm, wet air meet cooler air. When they meet it creates a thunderstorm causing a funnel to fall from the sky from the clouds. A tornado can move very fast and destroys anything that gets in its way. In order to be safe and stay away from it, it is important to stay updated with the weather, look for public warnings, cover your head and hide in a hallway or bathroom. This book gave great visuals of how effective a tornado can be and what is the best way to keep safe. The show more words were to the point and easy to understand.

Informative book that has pictures to help kids be able to understand how to write a poem. It goes over the different forms of poems and the ways that they can be labelled. Media: Water color
This is an informational book about how to write a fairy tale. This is informational because it gives detail on how to do/complete something. It also gives examples throughout the book so you can see different ways on how to write this kind of a genre. I could use this book when first introducing fairytales to the class and what it means. I could also use this book as a tool for students to use when writing a paper that could end up being assigned as fairytale. The media in this book is show more print and ink. show less
