a few bangers a few duds and a lot in between. i kind of wish more early mtg fiction had been in the form of anthologies. parts of this stood the test of time a lot better than other contemporaneous works by virtue of trying so many different things.

It was a good compilation of stories from the early MTG sets but it was very disjointed. Some of the stories seemed like an after thought and were very short.

This is exactly what you'd expect - a collection of somewhat awkward stories based on the Magic the Gathering card game.
