This is the digest version and would be a good place for the young student to start. The information is generally good, but of course outdated. There is one approach I would recommend, however, not mentioned here. Examine a college degree, any kind, even professional by course considering online options, and even international options. Register, go one semester to a "name" college, then get core courses and others where the local teachers are not that good, and then get enough credits to show more graduate. Four generations before my grandchildren finished college with no loans, going back to the 1890s. I am thinking about writing a short book about how they managed it. show less
