My only disappointment was that I hoped for more photos of the embroidered garments to go with the line drawings. But overall it was gorgeous and packed with details.

The illustrations are lovely. The drawings are often quite good enough to serve as patterns for reproducing the items.

Informative book on embroidery techniques from the early 20th century. Lots of examples of stitches used etc.

I can't give a real review because I've only paged through it. My star rating is given on the basis of the photos and illustrations. Beautifully designed embroidery that is still fresh today. Very inspiring.
