Noah's Ark by Charles E. Martin
Lorimer's prose strikes a great balance between faithfulness to scripture and providing simpler context and phrasing for children. Martin's illustrations pair well with the prose: they are animated and colorful, simple enough for small children while developing their frame of reference for the events of the story. The images of the solitary ark in the flood waters stand out to me for their expressive colors and emotional poignance.

Cute little picture book on the ancient story of Noah and his ark. I read it to my two year old granddaughter and she clapped her hands in delight.
