Crispus Attucks was born into slavery around 1723, the son of an African American
enslaved person and a Natick Indian. After years of forced labor in the Boston area,
Crispus escaped and began working on
trading ships and whaling vessels until his death in the Boston Massacre
Great book for children to read about Martin Luther King's Life. This could be used for history or Black History month. An awesome story about how he overcome a time during racism. He was a major icon in history.
Focuses on the youth of the Massachusetts slave who, after joining the colonial patriots in their struggle for freedom, was the first man to die in the American Revolution.
An American sailor of Native American descent who is traditionally regarded as the first person killed in the Boston Massacre
