Fine Line is the first book in a brand new series called Crossing Lines by A.D. Justice. I was not familiar with the author when I decided to read the book, but she won me over with Fine Line and I will read the rest of the series. The book contains some scenes where abuse happens but thankfully there was no rape, so beware for any triggers.
Nick and Savannah don't have one of the easiest's relationships, but I thought that they were great together. Nick never pressured her into doing show more something that she didn't want and her best interest was always in his mind. He was a great man for her. Savannah went through a lot, but to an extent, she doesn't allow that bring her down. Her relationship with Nick felt very organic and natural. The author did a good job with the two of them. Their road to the happily ever after is filled with obstacles and yet they managed to make it.
I have to say that I am a little disappointed that Silas won't be paired with the woman he showed some interest in this book. I do believe though that she could be hiding or something and end up been his lady (I can't remember the name and only Karen pops in my brain atm, but she is Savannah's friend from before I think). Or maybe she is no one. I guess I will find out in book 2. show less

We have seen snippets of Ryder and Olivia and their contentious as well as ongoing divorce due to a custody battle so finally getting their story was fantastic, they are both still so in love with each other which you can see along with the rest of their friends and the whole town, but their relationship is so broken to the point neither know what to do. We learn that no relationship is perfect and both Ryder and Olivia have kept things from each other both the good and the bad which we show more slowly learn of and how those secrets caused a ripple effect in their relationship. Ryder and Olivia will make you laugh, cry, roll your eyes, want to throttle them as well as shake sense into them and hope that once the secrets are all in the open they both see why they fell in love and should stay married. You definitely want to get settled in before you star and may have some chocolates and wine at the ready for this one as you get pulled in deep to everything going on!!!

This was a great read from start to finish and I loved how you didn't really know all the details as to why Ransom and Miranda broke up all those years ago. I admit to getting frustrated with Miranda at times but also get her wanting to fins out what was really going on with Victor and the fact that both Gus and Ransom were do protective of her made my heart melt. There were times were I worried Victor would strike and just when I calmed down, there was more danger as he definitely one show more slippery and deadly criminal. You get danger, laughter, heartbreak, close calls, reconnecting families and a second chance that has you grinning from ear to ear.

Rod and Daisy have already been through a lot in book one so I was dying to see what would happen next and well buckle up as there is plenty more highs and lows as well as tough choices to go through. Learning more about their pasts will have you in tears as well as make you understand so much more about why both protect their hearts and why letting someone in means so much. This was just as emotional as the first first book in the duet, as well as left you wondering at times if these two show more could over come everything to be together even with the support of friends and family. Now that both books are out I can't wait to read them back to back!!
