This book was instrumental (pun intended) to helping me study for the instrument knowledge test. I find that it is much clearer for a beginning instrument student than the FAA handbooks. For example, the FAA handbooks start their discussion on instrument approaches by discussing arcane advisory circulars and talking about 135/121 ops... this textbook begins the discussion on instrument approaches by discussing what they are. Highly recommended as a replacement or supplement to the FAA books show more for your instrument studying needs. show less
