I found this to be a fun heart felt story of two friends on a journey home. Duke the dwarf clown made a promise to his good friend Oregon that he would take him back to his home in the beautiful pine forests of Oregon. When Duke was asked why he was doing this and why he didn't take his makeup and red nose off, he simply replied its a promise i made and the makeup is just who i am. I really liked how the author depicted these two characters and their honest personalities. This could be a show more nice bed time story for younger kids as it really warms your heart and leaves a smile on your face in the end.
I also felt the illustrator did a fabulous job. The beautiful use of watercolors and the feeling of simplicity that was portrayed made it really unique. Its also hard not to like a book that has a character by the name of Oregon!! show less

Practically ALL of us take life way too seriously, and many of us have failed to find or take the time to add some jocularity back into our lives, and I should know because I happen to be one of these individuals. I’m a romance author with several endeavors which I’m currently working on as well as a voracious book reviewer with 47 reviews already written so far this year.
This being the case, you can’t imagine how happy I am to have bought a KINDLE copy of this book from the show more “Rascal” wrote it on Amazon. Rascal by some coincidence happens to be the name given on the book’s cover as its author.
Rascal has done a marvelous job in collecting and sorting the hundreds of items contained in the pages of this book, items which go back to the days of our great-grandfathers and beyond, items which cause its readers to respond from giggles/chuckles to almost outrageous laughter depending on how much they can relate to what they’ve just read.
Given the above it aches me not to give this book the 5 STARS it has gotten from me. show less

Who doesn't like a book about a cute pup on his own who finds a pair of red glasses that he thinks are magic because they bring him affection & love. Precious!
