This is a great little book that teaches you how to clean without harsh, expensive, chemical cleaners. There are dozens of recipes for cleaners using the old stanbys, vinegar, soda, castille soap, etc. The fun part is adding your own choice of fragrance using essential oils. Essential oils are extrememly concentrated so it's a good thing to know just how many drops should go into each formula, so you can appreciate having a great little book like this to tell you just how to do that.

It's also show more impressive how many subjects of cleaning are covered in this easy to handle, reference book. I do believe Ms Siegel-Maier has addressed nearly anything you could think of. She addressed
Perking up your plants
Making gel candles
Leather cleaner and conditioner
Wood care
Moth repellants
Laundry
Closet liners
Automatic dishwasher detergents
and much more.
All come with an essential oil included in the recipe to delight the senses by making things smell really good, and very simple instructions for creating them. There is no steeping and straining with strange unheard of ingredients. And the idea of collecting charming little bottles of the different oils, for the wonderful fragrances, is irresistable. i can see this becoming more of a hobby than a necessity. Who knew someone might actually make cleaning fun?

This is an awesome resource! I stumbled across it trying to figure out how to clean my oven without using the gross stuff. Making your own, natural cleaning products is such a great way to elimainate chemicals from your home. I cannot wait to try the laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent recipes!
Great solutions for almost all household cleaning problems. The author relies heavily on liquid castile soap and essential oils.
