John Coltrane (1926–1967)

C+ (Okay).

There are some good tracks here, including one that I genuinely like, which is saying a lot for Coltrane coming from me. There's also enough I find irritating to wreck the album. I am just never going to figure out what people see in him.

1.5/4 (Meh).

The constant barrage of noise from the drummer makes an album that would otherwise be "challenging" (i.e., pretentious) something I can barely listen to.
