The beginning books of the Bible are essential to our understanding of God's redemptive story. The series has the richness of well-written literature and the depth of understanding inherent in a commentary. The result is a series show more of books whose details live and sing. They help parent and child understand the Christ-centered Word, and they are enjoyable reading for both. While this commentary is aimed for children it certainly is great for adults as well. There are some very complex and in depth topics covered. It has opened up a well spring of conversation for our family. There are questions in the back, should you feel led to use them, craft ideas, and field trip ideas. My only "down" to this book would be that the topics of circumcision and making love are mentioned in two or three different chapters.
