The Nature's Children series continues to provide engaging, reliable information about a wide variety of animals. This latest edition keeps the same trademark blue cover, large captioned photographs, and nonfiction text features that make them solid choices for both research and pleasure reading. There are a few updates: "FunFact!" text boxes have been added on every few pages; words that will be defined in the glossary are now bolded in red instead of black; topics are grouped show more into a few larger chapters with subheadings instead of a different chapter for each two-page spread; and a habitat map is included as part of the backmatter.
