Short biography
Gus Nichols having preached in many states, held numerous religious debates, authored several books, conducted many, many gospel meetings, edited a weekly paper(Words of Truth), and spoke on the radio is Jasper twice daily. All four of his sons became preachers and three of his daughters married preachers. He baptized approximately 11,000 people. He also conducted a "training class" for elders and preachers held on Fridays nights for over forty years.

Eight of his debates have been published as well as several books of sermon outlines and a book on the Holy Spirit.

The library at Faulkner University in Montgomery was named the Nichols Library in his honor.
