Classic text about the Tipi was written at a time when Tipi had almost been completely forgotten as a craft. Famous author Stanley Vestal (see Kit Carson) includes a history of the Tipi. There's a color plate of the Laubin tipi, and the book is clearly written by Native American couple who want to retain Plains Indian culture. The text has 13 illustrations.
I pored over this book when I set up my tipi over 50 years ago. I used it's guide for making a liner. It gave all the help I needed at the time.
