Augustus Rapp

August Rapp spent 60 years as an itinerant performer in America's rural South and Midwest. A conjuror, comedian, ventriloquist, juggler, puppeteer, and actor, Rapp -- at age 89 -- decided to write his autobiography. The result is the robust and highly entertaining The Life and Times of Augustus Rapp, The Small Town Showman. This is small town, small time magic as it really was in the early years of this century.
