S says: The book about Earth taught me a lot about the Earth. The Earth is the only planet any person could live on. Amazing! I wonder why Earth is the only planet any person could live on. It's strange that the Earth is the only planet that has an atmosphere that living things can breathe. Everybody on Earth should read this book! I wonder if I am the only one who has this book?
K says: This series is wonderful! We own a wide variety of these, and the science aspects are interesting, while show more the vocabulary is easily accessible to growing readers. My first grader began reading these in September of her 1st grade year, and the subject matters (spiders, plants, bats, space) were so interesting that she didn't even realize how *much* she was reading!
There are generally three to four chapters, ranging from about 15-20 pages total, with between two to four sentences a page. Each book also includes a glossary and comprehension questions, along with many colorful photographs and diagrams.
The Earth introduces (nothing in depth here) topics like the Earth's atmosphere, the effects of the Earth's rotation around the Sun and its tilt, as well as how the Earth changes.
HIGHLY recommended! show less
