But it also covers a goodly number of antique and vintage flatware patterns in silver plate and provides fascinating insights into the manufacturers -- who bought out whom, when the names changed, which "Rogers" company you're looking for, and more. It's also much more affordable than the jewelers' publication, and has lists of what patterns in various design styles have retained their show more popularity. Great fun! show less

I learned some new things, but wouldn't recommend this book. It was not well written
