Great discussion on the history of the various editions of the Book of Mormon. Small corrections in spelling, grammar, wording, and format, have been made since the book's original publication. The book outlines those editorial corrections, and explains the various changes in size, special bindings, layouts, indexing, verse numbering, and typography, etc. of the various American and British editions. Most changes were made and/or authorized by Joseph Smith himself. A few further corrections, show more true to the original manuscript, including a title-change, have been authorized by the LDS Church. show less
The volume presents the essentials of the printing history of the Book of Mormon: the circumstances under which each edition was produced and the developments (or setbacks) of the formatting, presentation, and text of each edition. Nicely illustrated with color images from each edition, this slim volume is, I believe, one of the nicest products ever produced by Deseret Book.
Consists of hundreds of old photos from pioneer days thru the early 20th century. It was fun to go thru them and see people in history, with their families, friends, church & work.
