The conclusion of the adult funny animal soap opera first begun by Reed Waller and Kate Worley decades ago. The two split up personally and creatively some time back and the storyline languished, but they eventually came to a professional reconciliation before Vorley succumbed to a recurrence of cancer. Her husband, James Vance, completed the writing after her death. It's a fairly neat wrapping up of the major story threads. The main draw is the sexy humanized animal artwork, and the show more relationships and dialogue between the main characters, especially Chuck and Omaha. I've liked this series ever since its inception, but it's nice to see a generally satisfactory ending for all. show less
"Omaha is a spunky, sexy, cleanly drawn contemporary soap opera about the life and loves of a nude terpsichorean who happens to be a, er, uh, a cat. It is a magazine that has the religious right crazed. It is wonderful" - Harlan Ellison. I'll go along with that, although it has gotten a little dated in tone over the years.

"Omaha the Cat Dancer" is a talking-animal strip with Omaha (a cat) as an exotic dancer who gets into various intrigues and scrapes with her boyfriend, Chuck. The storyline is pretty soap-operish, and a little PC, but the characters are intriguing, and the artwork is pretty good. This is not a comic for kids; it is adult-oriented and filled with sex scenes, gratuitous and otherwise. A little violence too, but not as predominant as the sex. That's a good thing, I think.

Continues the soap-operish story of Omaha, an exotic cat dancer and her lover, Charlie Tabey. Good art, lots of sex, a little too politically correct at times, but all in all an interesting and engaging story, not for the little ones.
