First let me say, I have been waiting for this book since last summer when Anne told me she was going to write a character with my name...at random times she would ask me 'what is your dream vehicle', 'what is your go-to phrase to call someone who pisses you off'? Of course because she and I have known each other for about 4 years she already knew my Diet Coke addiction, my favorite boozy drink that I 'invented' (Filthy F*ckin' Martini) and my notoriously foul mouth.

Anyway, I have been show more panting for this book. The editor would send me snippets then call me laughing hysterically, all the while telling the beta readers and proofers to NOT tell me anything about the book. When Anne sent it to me to layout the print edition and format the ebook files she said 'Format it don't read it' because her books seem to suck me in while I am designing them, usually one-third of the way in. So I followed the task-master's instructions, designing the print and ebooks in 7 hours - just so that I could take the rest of the day/night off and read it.

I freakin' loved this book. Deena Rae (feels strange to say this) is kick ass, take charge and competent. She is a bit lost, a bit standoffish and maybe even searching for a connection after being pretty much alone for 10 years. While being a nosy-neighbor she spies Mr. Fine Ass through her camera's viewfinder and he revs her motor.

A completely believable courtship ensues (well, at least believable for me if no one else), a bit of tit for tat and lots of sexual tension. The characters don't immediately jump into bed at first meeting. My favorite characters from the other Pierce Securities - Simon, Hollerman, Zack - are all there and Deena Rae holds her own against them. A female that works in a male dominated field yet still has her femininity, she is great with the guys.

There were some sticky situations, angst and some heartbreak to fuel the story-line. Anne Conley writes amazing stories, believable and lovable characters who leave you wanting more. With Bond, she delivers a heroine unusual in the realm of romance but someone you might know and actually be friends with in real life....and I am not just saying that.....

Difficult subject matter, for what is essentially a romance novel - lots of taboo subjects raised . Relating to the dark web, and the awful kind of content that is available there.

The story was OK, but I don't like it when the villain is classed as "insane" rather than evil. In my view being a pervert makes you bad not mad.

Some predictable aspects and some unresolved issues for the rest of the series.

The premise of this book is unique. James, a well-known playboy/chef, is hired to host a new dating show (The Fixer Upper) and must "fix" people to make them more date-able. While filming the show, an unexpected romance blossoms between James and a participant on the show, Margaret, even though the two seem to be polar opposites.

From his first line, I knew I was going to like James. Sure, he's a bit arrogant, but his arrogance wasn't off-putting to me for some reason. Maybe it's because show more Conley did a great job of slowly revealing bits of his personality, gradually helping me to see his caring, less arrogant side. I also really liked Margaret, even though there were a few times when I felt that her hesitance to say what she's feeling and thinking were uncharacteristic of such a strong, independent woman.

I loved that this book was funny and light at times but also serious and a bit sad during certain scenes. Why is there such a range? Because the characters and their lives are realistically flawed. And despite the way James and Margaret meet, I found their romantic journey to be completely believable.

This is the first book I've read by Anne Conley, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Her writing is seamless. Chapters flowed nicely from one to the next, and there wasn't a typo to be found.

If you enjoy contemporary romance novels with a good blend of humor, real life issues and tastefully written hot-n-heavy scenes, then you're likely to enjoy this one.

After reading and loving Anne Conley’s The Fixer Upper, I jumped at the chance to receive an ARC of Wire.

What surprised me most about Wire is how different it is from The Fixer Upper, which I would label as a dramatic romance with touches of humor (basically chick lit). Wire, on the other hand, is a unique blend of various genres including romance, humor, mystery and suspense, as well as insight in to the world of online gaming. In fact, there were times when I was so caught up in the show more mystery and suspense that I completely forgot about the romance. What a cool book!

Not only is the storyline in this book unique and engaging, but so are the characters. I’m amazed by all the details Conley provides about her MCs, making them complex and memorable. She also has a knack for creating smart, free-flowing dialogue with punches of wit.

As for the romance aspect of the book, let’s just say lovers of the genre will not be disappointed. From chapter one, Conley never lets us forget how hot Evan and Paige are for each other, especially during the blush-worthy intimate scenes. Wow.

Anne Conley is a must-read author. I will definitely be reading Craze (Pierce Securities Book 1) along with any other books she adds to the series.
