The Herdman's are the worst kids in town. The are always beating people up and stealing things. The town has a locally famous Christmas pageant. When the main pageant leader is injured Grace Bradley takes over and is overwhelmed when the Herdman's decide the want in. The whole town things it's the beginning of the end of the pageant. It turns out to be the best Christmas Pageant ever.

I grew up with the book and the original movie. This remake does both justice. It was a good watch.

This multi-seasonal series is a well-thought-out dramatization of events depicted in the Gospels with some dramatic liberties taken. Written and produced by Evangelical Protestants, there may be a tendency of characterizing encounters with Jesus as examples of one-time believism resulting in a "happily-ever-after" and lacking a long-range focus on being faithful to Christ over the long-haul within the context of the Church Christ founded on apostolic authority.
