Having read far too many manuscripts and POP books on the theory of Alex, it was a true pleasure to read someone who didn't ramble. Although I may disagree with the line of progression and points he makes it is one of the only books that tells the clear unadulterated story. Not of all the Alexander myth, but what we likely know for sure, not trying to create any mystery or conflicting thoughts but so many things no one else dares say directly. Excuse this comment to the other review, but it show more is not brief, but to the point. This should peeve a lot of Alexander freaks. show less
Read while taking courses based around Alex in college. It was definitely one of the more enjoyable accounts of his life in my opinion. Mainly, I thought that it did a good job of spanning his life in brevity. I'm ok with this not being a very thorough account because Adams isn't my go to one Alex anyway... Also I feel that I strongly disagree with some of his views.
