About meAs an accumulator of all things of interest [to me], I try to make room in my house for a bed, a computer and my family. I am trying to research my family, which now takes up the other half of the living room. They go back to an original Colonial family, but they were antsy, didn’t like crowds and moved on, often, which is maybe why my business was so much travel.

About my libraryMy library is almost all non-fiction. A good novel, I loose interest ½ way through. I’m dyslexic so going is slow but intense. I will never get my whole library listed as it is all in stages of coming and going, to make more room.

My interest in history is more in context of the big picture, sociological, the cause and the why, than in what; Alexander the Great, the American Indian, U.S. independence, Civil War, Lincoln, Custer, Rome [I took Latin once], western movement and settlement, culture etc.

My great grandfather was a carpenter, cabinet maker, carver and mechanical inventor; I’m a klutz so I have a lot of books on these things, and scars on my hands.

When entering comments, I am more likely to record disappointments figuring others may also be disappointed.
