I officially like this series a lot! I normally steer clear of creepy/horror-influenced things, but everything, the characters, their interactions, and the art, is just so ridiculously cute that it calls for me. Of course, I gotta answer it. :D
In this volume, Crismon is no closer to uncovering who she really is but is receiving visions/flashbacks of a past life. Meanwhile, Simon and she are drawing closer (apparently, they're dating) and Quinton’s getting saltier. SN: I like elegant, show more uppity perpetual-maybe-it’s-Maybelline-flowing-hair Quinton.
Now, some of these relationships (Crismon/Simon; Wisteria/Parameter) happened at break-a-neck speed. I thought I had missed a volume at first. But hey, I guess we got to the good stuff faster.
Of course, some werewolf vs. vampire action happens. It wouldn't be paranormal fiction without two creatures fighting. But the way it was handled was surprisingly mature. It wasn't on some boo-hoo, I just don't like you junk.
Overall, this volume felt really rushed, but I'm on board for volume 3. We ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, so I'm eager to see where that goes.
WHO IS SARAH!?! *screams at keyboard*
This book has all the fixings to make you “aww.” show less

Prelim Review: While this isn't a perfect book, this is a book to be damned proud of. This isn't just an anthology of short comics and pin-ups with a glib theme of 'Women Empowerment' or a collection of stories that prove women are as cool as men (if not cooler). This is a book filled with stories about characters who face problems every girl goes through and yeah sometimes superpowers or magic helps to make things better, but it just as easily comes down to whether that young girl or woman show more is brave enough to embrace the ability to make a change.

Finally, a way to get more True Blood action during the off season! I was expecting the graphic novels to be as painful to read as the original novels, but the first volume was surprisingly enjoyable! This way we get the visuals (Eric = yum), but we leave out the annoying southern accents.

Final three volumes (7-9) in Angel:After the Fall: Immortality for Dummies (7), The Crown Prince Syndrome (8), and The Wolf, The Ram, and The Heart (9). Also includes eight short stories.
This beautifully illustrated final IDW volume is massive and weighs a ton. The story arcs are pretty decent and cohesive, but I have to state for the record that this time travel shit has to stop. It’s such a copout and I hate the stories that employ such a plot device. Blerg. show more Spike is, as always, my favorite character followed by Illyria. Love them. And I had to laugh at Spike’s prophecy storyline where he tells the out of work screenwriters to give Angel a poncy name like Dusk, Sunset or Fall of Darkness which I probably wouldn’t have caught if I hadn’t already read Season 8 of Buffy. Hilarious shit there! This is one volume I’d love to add to my personal library someday when I have, you know, money.
Angel: Immortality for Dummies ~ Interesting. I was wondering why someone hadn’t thought of that before now.
Angel: The Crown Prince Syndrome ~ Connor-centric storyline that’s kinda goofy, but not in a horrible way.
Angel: The Wolf, The Ram, and the Heart ~ Time travel, alternate universe and the artwork got comic-booky. No, just no.
Eddie Hope ~ Interesting character. I want to see more of him.
…Dust to Dust ~ Gunn and his sister’s back story.
OMG Unicorns! ~ I hate Harmony. Seriously.
All the Time in the World ~ Just rip my heart right out of my chest, why doncha?
My Only Friend ~ D’awwwwww.
Fight for the Remote! ~ Omg! The movie Gunn and Illyria bring home. Bwahahaha! I love this. I wish there were more funny short stories like this one.
This One Time ~ I really don’t like reality shifts either. But this isn’t a bad story though I wonder where that bitch went. And omg, more of Betta George please.
A Blessing and “The Curse” ~ Nice send off. show less
