About the Author
Dawn Lundy Martin is an American Poet, writer, Activist. She earned her BA at the University of Connecticut, her Masters in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University and her PhD on Literature from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She is an instructor for the Language and show more Thinking Program at Bard College. She is co-editor with Vivien Labaton of The Fire This Time. She is the author of Discipline, and A Gathering of Matter/A Matter of Gathering. She has received the Academy of American Arts and Science's May Sarton Prize for Poetry. Her poetry collection, Life in a Box is a Pretty Life, won the 2016 Lambda Literary Award for Lesbian Poetry. (Bowker Author Biography) show less
