This was an interesting read. It started off a little slow but picked up towards the middle. I was rather curious to see how they would end this series... I have to say I was a bit shocked by the dragon sex. That made me a little uncomfortable. But overall, a good ending to a series.
Interesting idea for a romance in a medieval setting about twenty-two year-old Keira who is intrigued by the dragon that lazily flies over the village. While everyone else is running for cover even though the dragon has never done anything threatening, she’s curious about him and loves to watch is aerial ballet. Aaron sees her watching and his interest is piqued. Of course he’s only a dragon most of the time and can take a human form and decides to search her out.
I liked the two main show more characters and felt the challenges faced by Keira as she tries to accept Aaron’s dragon habits and nature were actually realistic. And she’s dealt one of these aspects at a time. Learn about it, be horrified by it, realizes she still loves him, rinse and repeat. A good job is done with the dragons’ history. On the other hand, some of the secondary characters and their situations just didn’t flow within the story based on what we knew of them.
A fairly simplistic story without a whole lot of depth to it. We’re told over and over again that Keira loves Aaron, but I never felt her emotions. But a quick and easy read. show less

I quite enjoyed this book much more than the first in the series.
Anna is such an annoying brat that it takes away from the story a bit. I would have loved to see her grow more than she did.
And Kiera and Drake are in a very childish relationship that I have a hard time understanding. I get that couples fight and make up, but it seems they're either fighting or screwing! Hopefully their relationship is better in the next books.
This isn't one of my faves, but I will continue reading because show more I'm curious to see where this ends. show less
