An interesting story, that starts out as a standard scifi computers-are-out-to-get-us yarn and evolves into something else. A mysterious arcade comes to a small town and slowly the kids begin to change. A single mother tries to ferret out the people - or whatever - and the purpose behind the game. Her son's future, at the very least, is at stake.
Read this book a decade back. One hell of a thriller! An amazing work of science-fiction. A new arcade opens up in the town and all the children are suddenly addicted to it. The parents are concerned (some are) and they try to investigate what to do about it. The children visit the arcade whether they want to or not.
