What's one little bee to do when a big hungry bear wants its honey? The rhyming story is a sweet treat for little ones. I particularly enjoyed the final, wordless spread.

One rhyming pair was a bit awkward (bees/weeds) and a comma here and there when phrases were grouped together (as opposed to being separated on the page) would have helped. But your little one certainly won't notice these little things.

The illustrations by James Scott are delightful and you'll discover some new hidden treasure every time you read the book. My infant granddaughters were mesmerized by the colors, especially the golden honey hue.

Really lovely and warm and bright! The art reminds me of Pixar concept art, but with even more life to it. The story has a soothing, bouncy rhythm that matches the plot very nicely.

This book would be good for primary students. This book is "A bear, a bee, and a honey tree" written by Daniel Bergstrom, illustrated by Brandon James Scott, and published in 2022. This book is about a bear trying to get honey from a bee hive. It tells about the battle between the bees trying to protect their home and the bear trying to get some food. In the end, the bees win and the bear is hungry. I would use this in my classroom to teach about adjectives and how to use them to make a story more interesting. This is a very funny, good book for kids to read on their own time as well.… (more)

I love the vivid illustrations and charming rhyme scheme of this cumulative story, and it is just plain funny.
