This was a fantastic start of the series, that was told in Edith a vampire and Darren a hunter’s points of view. Oh, this short book had so much to it. It was jam-packed! A LARP weekend that wasn’t really as innocent as just it seemed to the humans. Vampire deaths, accusations, vampire hunters in the Institute and romances too from unlikely characters.
The characters were all likeable, I particularly liked Darren, Parker and Edith.

Good read.

Loved the outcome of the story line. The full circle of the past was a great story. Well written, quick read.

The plot is just a complete mess. The police are useless. It was all tell not show but it failed even at that, because for all there was lots of telling, the main characters at the start are never really introduced. I don't particularly expect much from my cozy mysteries but this didn't even hit those markers. I won't be reading the rest of the series. 1 star.… (more)
