This is basically a pro-Bitcoin book which spends 95% of the book laying out various arguments for the end of the modern/growth-dependent economic system. It's a nice introduction to a lot of these ideas (AI, UBI, exponential curves, ...), and as the author intended, raises more questions than provides answers, but there's a lot of "and this time will be different than every time before" required to accept the argument. Doesn't really make any truly novel arguments or cover anything in depth, but works fine as a summary or introduction. Ironically doesn't actually provide much analysis of actual deflationary economics (other than the standard Moore's Law/tech expansion of capabilities) -- showing how deflationary money fails would have been a useful addition.… (more)
