About the Author
Ecologist and author David G. Campbell earned his B. A. from Kalamazoo College, his M. S. from the University of Michigan, and his Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University. He is currently a biology professor at Grinnell College. Campbell's two novels, The Ephemeral Islands, and The Crystal Desert show more reflect his passion for nature and the environment.
