Lovely book and a quick read. I normally would not have selected this book but found it through a reading list for a trip I am taking with Road Scholar. The pictures are well done and accompanying text interesting. Beatrix Potter had a keen mind, strong will, and generous heart which she used to benefit the farming community in the Lake District.

Gorgeous photographs of the interiors and estate of Hill Top. Very warm and soothing images. Good book to curl up with -- with a blanket & hot toddy on a cold stormy night.
