The movie, released in theatres in 1998, has a Wikipedia entry which outlines the plot. It is a UK - English - film. The story is about a rock band of the 1970s reuniting in the 1990s, touring in the Netherlands, and playing an outdoor rock festival. The comedian Billy Connolly plays the road manager, who delivers and ironic narrarative voice. The cast includes several English film and television actors: Stephen Rea, Bill Nighy, Timothy Spall, Jimmy Nail. It uses many tropes about rock performers, fans, and the media.
