The is a very good picture book, with quite a bit of text. I feel that the humor, on a devastating subject like war, is very well handled. It has a 'Glossary of Illustrators', with brief biographies, and an index.

To me a book's dimensions are height, depth and thickness. This book is too deep. It is cumbersome too handle and a pain for the average bookshelf. A good coffee table book.

On page 123, the left half, the book has '... 250,000 British soldiers lost limbs during the World War I (sic).' But, on page 146, the right half, it has '... 41,000 British soldiers lost limbs during World War I.'… (more)
