Meh. A few good recipes, but an overly complicated "points" system made me put it down. I couldn't find anyplace in the book where it told me "this is the serving size of various food groups for a one-year-old" and that's what I really need. Just give me simple charts, people, I haven't got time for this.

Unfortunately neither of mine were inspired to start dishing up Italian delights but since my level of cooking prowess is roughly equivalent to that of an 11-ear old [I can turn on the oven by myself and even fry and use sharp knives but the simplest appliances are beyond me] this book is perfect for me.

My read-up started as an inspiring journey through the pages, ended up as a quite bit of a disappointing to the ending of the book itself. Recepies? Yeah. Techniques? Definitely! But what about different angle info? Updates in some facts presented? No and No. So, not really my type of a book it had figured out to be.

Ok there are recipes for during pregnancy, but I found these simplistic & uninspiring e.g. a "cream cheese & spinach tortilla wrap" which is essentially just that, quantified.

So, one to come back to in around six months time.… (more)
