Excellent South African cook book.

This is a sequel to Lynn Bedford Hall's first book combining stories of a fictional small town in the Karoo, Corriebush, with recipes. The first book was 'Fig Jam & Foxtrot'. I prefered the stories in the first book, but have used the recipes in this book more often.

Lynn Bedford Hall is one of South Africa's best known food/cookery writers. In Fig Jam & Foxtrot she has combined fact and fiction by writing stories about the various women of a fictitious small town in the Karoo and weaving her real recipes into the stories. The women are all very different in background and character, so the recipes - which are excellent - vary widely. A most unusual cook book.
